Notice of Intention to Grant Petroleum Prospecting Licences

The Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment hereby gives notice that, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (1) of Section 9 of the Petroleum and Other Minerals Development Act 1960, as applied by subsection (2) of Section 4 of the Continental Shelf Act 1968, he intends to grant non-exclusive petroleum prospecting licences to the following:

 

  1. Azeire Limited, 192 Sloane Street, London SW1X 9QX
  2. ENI Irleand B.V., Eni House, 10 Ebury Bridge Road, London SW1W 8PZ
  3. Europa Oil and Gas (Holdings) Plc., 6 Porter Street, London W1U 6DD
  4. Predator Oil and Gas Ventures Limited, 3rd Floor, Standard Bank House, 47-49 La Motte Street, St. Helier, Jersey JE2 4SZ
  5. Scotia Oil & Gas Exploration Limited, 19th Floor, 40 Bank Street, London E14 5NR

in respect of certain sea areas designated under Section 2(3) of the Continental Shelf Act, 1968 and the Maritime Jurisdiction Acts, 1959 to 1988 respectively and that he has deposited in the Offices of the Geological Survey of Ireland, Beggar's Bush, Haddington Road, Dublin D04 K7X4 and the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Petroleum Affairs Division, 29-31 Adelaide Road, Dublin D02 X285 respectively a map showing the boundaries of such areas. A copy of this notice and the relevant map may also be viewed on the Department's website at www.pad.ie
