This year's LIFE Information Day took place on Friday 17 February 2017 in Chartered Accountants House in Dublin. The main focus of the day was on funding opportunities to Ireland for environment and climate projects under the LIFE programme. Potential applicants from Ireland and Northern Ireland were also given tips and advice on the LIFE application process.
The day consisted of a series of talks, a question and answer session as well as an interactive workshop. IRD Duhallow's Maura Walsh, with two 2 LIFE Nature projects already to their name, Duhallow LIFE and Raptor LIFE, spoke about the environmental and socio-economic benefits of the programme, as well as emphasising the community engagement element. Presentations given on the day are available below to view or download.
This year's LIFE call is expected to open on 28 April 2017 with closing dates in September 2017, depending on the project category.
