2019 Call for Proposals

The 2019 Call will be published on the LIFE website in early April. Indicative timelines are provided below. We will provide more detail about the 2019 Call at our LIFE Information Day 2019.

For the Environment sub-programme (including nature), there is now a two-stage application process. This initially involves submission of an 11-page Concept Note. If this is approved, a Full Proposal must be submitted.

Writing the Concept Note requires considerably less effort compared to writing a Full Proposal, so this change from previous years means less initial time commitment, with applicants knowing whether they have a strong chance of success before the bulk of the work in preparing a Full Proposal. However, we strongly advise applicants to obtain funding commitments for that part of the budget not financed from the European Commission prior to submission of the Concept Note. We also strongly encourage applicants to contact us in the National Contact Point as early as possible to ensure that multiple similar Concept Notes are not submitted.
