Under the EU Renewable Energy Directive (2009/28/EC) Ireland is committed to producing at least 16% of all energy consumed from renewable sources by 2020. Ireland has committed to meet this national target through 40% renewable electricity, 12% renewable heat and 10% renewable transport. Additionally, Ireland's target is to achieve 20% lower greenhouse gas emissions levels by 2020 compared to 2005.

The details of my AIE request are as follows:

The current percentage of electricity, heat and transport that is produced from renewable sources as of February 2019.
The current percentage of all energy consumed in Ireland that is derived from renewable sources as of February 2019.
